JOB TITLE: Senior Business Analyst - Insurance Sector

LOCATION: Remote UK-based Flexible Working with travel as required

TYPE: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our dynamic team as a Senior Business Analyst. In this role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between technology and complex business strategies.

As a specialist in the London Market Insurance sector, your role will involve conducting comprehensive analyses of market trends, organizational objectives, and client requirements. You will be the primary resource for aligning technology solutions with business goals across various intricate accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and recommend enhancements to business processes to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Document and analyze client business requirements, creating conceptual data models and process documentation.
  • Develop test scenarios and plans to ensure that business applications meet client specifications, analyzing results throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to system modifications by providing business specifications that align with client needs.
  • Facilitate discussions with clients to gather and clarify requirements while exploring viable solutions.
  • Support project teams by coordinating business analyst activities and assisting colleagues as needed.
  • Participate in technical reviews to ensure that project changes align with the intended objectives.
  • Provide time estimates for project-related tasks and assist in developing methods to evaluate business goal alignment with organizational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Preferred background in business administration, information systems, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis.
  • Familiarity with the intersection of technology and functional business areas.
  • Experience in business process re-engineering.
  • Understanding of programming concepts and basic languages.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
  • Knowledge of London Market systems and processes related to claims and premium submissions.
  • Familiarity with messaging standards such as EDI or ACORD.
  • Experience in digital transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in business solutions software and personal computing.
  • A collaborative mindset with a willingness to travel as necessary.

Work Environment:

  • Remote work with occasional travel requirements.
  • Client travel may be necessary.
