JOB TITLE: Senior Professional Business Analyst - Insurance

LOCATION: Remote UK-based Flexible Working with travel as required

TYPE: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between technology and complex business initiatives.

As a Business Analyst with a focus on the London Market Insurance industry, you will be instrumental in aligning IT solutions with business objectives. Your role will involve thorough analysis of market trends, internal business strategies, and client requirements, ensuring that technology solutions effectively support multiple complex accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and recommend business processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Document and analyze client business requirements, creating conceptual data models and process documentation.
  • Develop test scenarios and plans to validate that client needs are met in system designs, analyzing results throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to system modifications by developing business specifications that address client needs.
  • Facilitate client meetings to gather requirements and explore potential solutions.
  • Coordinate business analyst activities on IT projects and support team members as needed.
  • Engage in technical reviews to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Provide time estimates for project-related tasks.
  • Assist in developing methods to evaluate if business goals align with organizational needs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred degree in business administration, information systems, or a related field.
  • Moderate experience in business analysis.
  • Experience interfacing IT with functional business groups.
  • Familiarity with business processes and re-engineering.
  • Understanding of basic programming concepts.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Knowledge of London Market systems and claims processes.
  • Familiarity with messaging standards such as EDI or ACORD.
  • Experience in digital transformation initiatives.
  • Good understanding of workflows and state transitions in message exchanges.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Presentation skills for engaging with management and clients.
  • Proficient in business solutions software.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
