Job Title: Application Support Engineer (Engineering Systems)

Location: Bridgwater

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team at Source & Connect. As an Application Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our engineering systems and providing expert technical support to our internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for engineering systems and applications, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • System Administration: Work across multiple information systems and ICT implementations, ensuring seamless integration and efficient operation.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues, promoting a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • BAU Changes: Work to maintain BAU changes 1st4th line, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
  • System Performance: Monitor system performance and capacity to ensure optimal functionality, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in systems development and application support, with a strong understanding of engineering systems and applications.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of engineering systems and applications, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g. ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work onsite in Bridgwater 3 days a week with occasional travel to client site at Hinkley Point C.
