Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled ICT Digital Systems Support Specialist to join our team at Bridgwater / Hinkley Point C. As a key member of our IT support team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our IT systems, ensuring that all technical issues are resolved promptly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support for a variety of IT business systems, including those related to engineering, construction, work orders, HR, ERP, and other critical applications that support the operations of a nuclear power station.
  • Support Ticket Management: Manage and resolve support tickets, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex technical issues and escalate when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • IT System Monitoring: Monitor IT systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability, including conducting routine maintenance and updates.
  • IT Solution Implementation: Assist with the implementation of new IT solutions, ensuring they are integrated smoothly with existing systems.
  • User Training: Provide training and guidance to users on best practices and new technologies, ensuring they are equipped to use systems effectively.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to align support efforts with broader technology initiatives.
  • Documentation: Document all support processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to maintain up-to-date records for future reference.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify areas for improvement within the IT support function, implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in regular team meetings, providing updates on ticket status, system health, and other key metrics.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 1+ years experience in an IT support role, with a strong track record of resolving technical issues.
  • Willingness to Work Onsite: Willingness to work onsite at Bridgwater & Hinkley Point C.
  • IT Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of IT business systems.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Education: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Security Clearance: You must be eligible for SC clearance to apply for this position.
