Event Coordinator Job Description

As an Event Coordinator at Gordon Murray Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our events. You will work closely with multiple departments and team members to create memorable experiences for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with team members across various departments to ensure events run smoothly from setup to close down.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate with the creative events team and event personnel to ensure that event timings and expectations are met.
  • Teamwork and Guidance: Work closely with both in-house and agency staff to ensure efficient teamwork, providing guidance and support to achieve the highest standards.
  • Clear Communication: Facilitate clear communication among all event team members, ensuring that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
  • Customer Service: Deliver outstanding service during events, continuously working with your team to exceed customer expectations.
  • Issue Resolution: Address any issues or concerns by coordinating with other departments, ensuring a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Event Close Down: Oversee event close down and work together with the team to prepare for the next event.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Ensure all team members follow checklists and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain high standards and consistency.
Requirements:
  • Event Experience: Proven experience in event coordination or management, preferably within a fast-paced or high-profile environment.
  • Team-Oriented Mindset: Team-oriented mindset with excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work with various departments and staff levels.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively as part of a team.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with team members, customers, and external partners.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure, demonstrating problem-solving skills in a collaborative way.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work varied hours based on event schedules.
