Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Content Coordinator to join our team at the BBC. As a Content Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production of high-quality content for our radio programs.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist the Content Producer in researching and preparing content for programs
- Support with the operation of recording equipment and microphones
- Provide reading and research support, as well as identifying potential program ideas
- Build strong relationships with the radio and audio resources team
- Assist the Content Producer with writing briefing notes and note-taking in meetings
- Support with gathering photographs or video content
- Use various BBC software packages
- Perform general administrative tasks
Facilitation
- Offer sighted assistance to the Content Producer while in unfamiliar locations, providing detailed descriptions of the surroundings
- Provide sighted assistance while on public transport
- Assist the Content Producer in preparing for and conducting recordings while on location
- Drive long distances across Scotland, sometimes on rural roads, as required to locations and programs
Requirements
- Attention to detail
- Planning and organizing skills
- Experience or interest in a radio production environment
- Editing skills and ability to learn new technical skills as required
- Full, valid driving license
- Excellent communication skills
- Interest in developing program ideas
- Flexibility to work away from home and travel across Scotland for up to 2-3 nights at a time, as required
