Position Overview

We are seeking to hire a dedicated part-time or full-time Patient Care Support Specialist to enhance our clinical team (compensation based on experience).

Sunny Meed Surgery is a reputable and welcoming training facility with a committed clinical and administrative workforce. As one of the rapidly expanding practices in the region, we aim to strengthen our established clinical team by incorporating a Patient Care Support Specialist who will contribute to our patient care services.

Our practice operates across three locations : the main surgery, a branch office, and another facility in the area. The main surgery is conveniently located near public transport and offers complimentary parking on-site.

Our clinical team comprises GPs, Paramedic Practitioners, clinical pharmacists, physiotherapists, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support specialists. The practice is backed by an experienced administrative team, including secretaries, administrators, care coordinators, and receptionists.

Key Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting blood tests, new patient assessments, NHS health evaluations, ECGs, spirometry, smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, ABPMs, ear syringing, hormone replacement therapy checks, and diabetes assessments.
  • Providing chaperoning services.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of medical equipment.
  • Managing vaccine and cold chain storage, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Restocking and rotating medical supplies and vaccines.
  • Organizing and replenishing consulting rooms.
  • Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during, and after patient care interventions, including assisting GPs with minor procedures.
  • Aiding in the evaluation and monitoring of patients' health and well-being.
  • Performing specific clinical tasks for designated patients as delegated and trained.
  • Promoting awareness of health and well-being and strategies for enhancement.
