About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Geriatrician to join our team at NHS. As a Consultant Geriatrician, you will provide medical leadership and professional accountability for patients under your care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical leadership and professional accountability for patients under your care.
  • Supervise junior or middle-grade medical staff and support them in their professional development.
  • Build on existing relationships with primary and community care services to ensure that frail, older patients receive the best possible care.
  • Develop and deliver excellent care to our local population, working in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure that patients receive robust care plans and can maintain their independence at home.
Requirements
  • Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP).
  • Full General Medical Council Registration.
  • 4-5 years training at ST3+ level in General Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.
