Key Responsibilities:
  1. Process Design and Optimization: Performs a variety of engineering work which may be related to process design/layout; mechanical; manufacturing; and quality control.
  2. Problem-Solving and Project Management: Works on daily and long-term problems/projects using manufacturing, quality, and process improvement tools to resolve issues, e.g. PFMEA, Control Plan, 8D, SAP, work orders, layout, etc.
  3. Engineering and Technical Expertise: Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion (based upon process improvement principles) for obtaining results.
  4. New Product Development: Supports new product development projects, determines cost estimates, design concepts, and engineering criteria along with conceptual process layouts for given projects.
  5. Manufacturing Operations Support: Serves manufacturing operations as a key support person leading resolutions to problems, implementing improvements, and leading projects to completion.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field such as Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any other related field is required.
  2. Experience: Experience in process optimization, production line design, lean manufacturing principles, quality control methods, root cause analysis, and advanced problem-solving techniques.
  3. Leadership and Communication Skills: Experience leading or participating in process improvement projects, demonstrating a strong understanding of process improvement methodologies. Strong communication and project management skills are necessary.
  4. Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience is preferred.
