Project Engineer Job Description

This role is for a Project Engineer to join a leading manufacturer in the Oxfordshire region. As the Site Project Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting and implementing group-wide strategy, working closely with the Project Manager.

Our client is a significant player in the Food Manufacturing industry, employing over 500 people and renowned for their high-quality products. With a focus on manufacturing and engineering, they are situated in Oxfordshire and are known for their commitment to innovation, sustainability, and quality products.

The successful candidate will provide engineering support activities for plant, including major capital projects, equipment upgrades, facility expansion/upgrades, sustainability projects, major equipment, and system purchases as well as installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the project implementation from the project design and delivery perspective.
  • Determine project schedule and specifications, technology, and standards, preparing cost and time estimates and reports.
  • Control project costs by approving expenditures, contractor, assigned capital to ensure spending is within budgets.
  • Facilitate innovative continuous improvement projects by seeking to improve and enhance methods and process systems.
  • Responsible for safety and adherence to policies and regulations to ensure that all engineering tasks are performed in a safe manner.

A Project Engineer with demonstrable engineering experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment and the following:

  • A recognised Engineering qualification.
  • Proven experience in a project role.

Salary Circa £55,000
