Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

At Bio-Rad, we are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective production of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Transfer: Ensure seamless transfer of new or existing products from development to production.
  • Production Line Set-up: Design and implement efficient production line layouts to maximize productivity.
  • Definition of Procedures: Develop and maintain procedures for production, quality control, and maintenance.
  • Manufacturing First Pass Yield: Implement strategies to achieve and maintain high first pass yield targets.
  • Failure Analysis: Investigate and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and waste.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Customer Return Disposition: Manage customer returns and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.
  • Engineering Change and Qualification: Manage engineering changes and ensure qualification of new products and processes.
  • Continuous Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in discrete manufacturing environment, preferably in Life Sciences or Medical Device industries.
  • Experience with mechanical components, such as plastic, metal, and optics.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 requirements, MDSAP, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, and 5S.
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
