Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Offshore Service Engineer to join our team at James Fisher and Sons plc. As an Offshore Service Engineer, you will be responsible for operating, servicing, and maintaining our hire fleet in accordance with our maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare equipment to meet our hire office requirements.
  • Ensure service procedures and standards are followed in accordance with our company guidelines.
  • Maintain safety standards as per the Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Package, maintain, and operate company equipment both onshore and offshore as required, following our service guidelines and procedures.
  • Complete service reports, minimum spares stock, and handover sheets as required following our company procedures.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in an offshore or overseas environment.
  • Computer literate, i.e. Word and Excel.
  • Offshore Survival training.
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks and priorities in accordance with business requirements.
  • Mechanical Experience - automotive, diesel engines, heavy plant, etc.

  • Quality assurance awareness training.
  • Diesel engine training/shutdown systems.
  • Pressure testing awareness training.
  • Manual handling awareness training.
  • COSHH awareness training.

  • Offshore medical certificate.
  • Slips, trips, and fall awareness training.
  • Steam Boiler operating training.
  • Air compressor operator training.
  • H2S awareness training.
  • Experienced diesel or steam boiler mechanic.
