Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Stevenage. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and providing individualized support to students who require extra help.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who require extra help
  • Assist with classroom management and organization
  • Support the development of students' skills and knowledge
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
  • 2 recent professional references
  • Experience with behaviors that are challenging
  • A calm and caring personality
  • A strong and resilient personality and commitment to pupils' development
  • Reading, writing, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Team Teach trained or willingness to attend training
