ROLE OVERVIEW

The Marketplace Operations Lead is responsible for enhancing local marketplace performance and driving revenue growth by aligning overarching business strategies with local market demands and ensuring exceptional execution on a daily basis.

This role involves collaboration with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and international counterparts to identify trends, uncover growth opportunities, and provide valuable insights that inform strategic decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will engage in a variety of analytical, operational, and strategic initiatives that are vital to Carwow's growth and success, working closely with various departments (Commercial, Product, Marketing, and Data) to optimize value in the short to mid-term.

  • Marketplace Performance: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators for the UK marketplace, respond swiftly to trends, manage the execution of essential tactical strategies, and initiate projects aimed at enhancing marketplace health.
  • Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with commercial teams to assess supply acquisition needs, analyze data to identify priority targets, and drive quality improvements in our offerings.
  • Product Merchandising: Ensure consumers have access to our most competitive deals on the Carwow platform, working with Commercial, growth marketing, and CRM teams to align on promotional strategies.
  • Market Insights: Provide market-specific insights to marketing discussions, leading analyses to identify opportunities and challenges, and proactively partnering with marketing teams to drive demand.
  • Product Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison to Global Product teams, offering local context and insights to enhance product performance.
  • Performance Analysis: Become the internal expert on the UK market, considering all factors influencing performance and strategizing appropriate responses.
