About the Role

The Sell My Car (SMC) Marketplace Manager (Trading) will work closely with senior leaders and collaborate across functions to rapidly diagnose and spot trends, growth opportunities, and quickly solve problems. This role will bring new valuable insights to help the SMC leadership team make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Marketplace Health: Work with the Sell My Car teams to identify areas for continued efficiency and lead the development of operational capabilities to manage key tactical levers.
  • Performance Monitoring: Become the internal expert on SMC, accountable for monitoring and reporting on day-to-day trading, and identifying metrics that are off track.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and lead weekly trading meetings, distilling complex information into clear, prioritized actions, and following up on the impact of actions.
Requirements
  • Proactivity and curiosity, along with a drive to succeed, learn, and develop.
  • Very strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, strategic actions, initiatives, and projects.
  • Strong bias for action and experience solving complex, unstructured problems.
  • Passion for data analysis and natural aptitude for problem-solving, with the ability to mold this output into a clear storyline.
  • Willingness to quickly learn, adapt, and apply new skills.
  • A creative, entrepreneurial mentality that enjoys experimentation and is willing to take risks.
  • Experience working in a Marketplace business model and overall interest in the automotive industry.
  • Basic SQL skills.
