About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Climate and Environmental Research Lead to join our Sustainable Investments team at Allspring Global Investments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for advancing our climate and environmental investment research capabilities and leading our cross-asset Climate and Water Working Group.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Advance Climate and Environmental Research Capabilities: Develop and implement strategies to enhance our understanding and integration of climate and environmental themes into our investment research and decision-making processes.
  2. Lead Climate and Water Working Group: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and innovation in climate and environmental investing.
  3. Foster Industry Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with industry experts to stay up-to-date on the latest climate and environmental research and trends.
  4. Drive Business Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of investment strategies.
Requirements
  1. 5+ Years of Experience: Proven experience in consulting, investment management, or a related field, with a strong understanding of climate change and environmental themes.
  2. Climate and Environmental Expertise: Extensive knowledge of climate change and environmental themes, including their investment implications and data analysis.
  3. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills, including data synthesis, organization, and evaluation, as well as qualitative inputs.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Investment Analysis Experience: Experience with investment analysis and knowledge of valuation techniques.
  2. Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across all organizational levels.
  3. Results-Oriented: Proven track record of delivering results, applying a sense of urgency, and bringing projects to closure in a decisive manner.
  4. Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the asset management industry, including key trends, investor types, and relevant regulations.
