About the Role:

Oxford Economics, a leading global economic research and consultancy firm, is seeking a highly skilled Climate Research Lead to join our expanding Climate Modelling and Scenarios team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading climate research projects, providing insightful analysis to clients, and contributing to the growth of our Global Climate Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead climate research projects, including identifying key topics in the climate policy space and producing regular research notes and thematic research papers.
  • Provide expert analysis and insights to clients on the macroeconomic impacts of climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies.
  • Support business development efforts to grow the sales of our Global Climate Service.
  • Oversee and contribute to climate change related consultancy projects.

Requirements:

  • First-rate academic training with a BA/ BSc and a Master's or PhD in economics, environmental science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience focusing on climate economics or research, with a focus on developing macroeconomic ideas and themes.
  • Additional experience in macroeconomic consultancy, overseeing projects, and competitive bid writing is highly desirable.
