Electrical Installation Technician

Competitive salary of £39,000, inclusive of company vehicle and tools

At phs Group, we are thrilled to share that our operations are expanding. To support this growth, we are seeking skilled Electricians and Electricians Mates to join our accomplished team, focusing on LED lighting upgrades for a prominent retail chain throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Installation Technician include:

  • Executing LED lighting replacements during scheduled hours and outside of regular hours as per project timelines.
  • Completing and submitting all necessary documentation and certifications punctually.
  • Conducting pre-surveys to accurately assess stock requirements on a site-by-site basis.
  • Regularly communicating with the Project Manager to provide updates on scheduled tasks.
  • Receiving deliveries from various manufacturers, rental services, and waste management companies.
  • Possessing in-depth knowledge of project contracts, drawings, and specifications.
  • Facilitating the handover of completed work to the site manager upon project completion.

The ideal candidate for the Electrical Installation Technician role at phs will possess:

  • The ability to work 40 hours per week or more, including evening and twilight shifts as project demands dictate.
  • Willingness to travel and stay away from home as required.
  • A valid UK manual driving license for at least 12 months (subject to insurance criteria), with a maximum of 6 penalty points.
  • NVQ Level 3 and City & Guilds 2360/2365 L3 Diploma/2330 qualification.
  • City & Guilds 2391/2394 & 2395 inspection and testing (desirable).
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification is mandatory.
  • IPAF 3a & 3b certification.
  • A solid level of IT proficiency.
  • Experience in electrical installation/project work, particularly in commercial lighting upgrades.
  • An understanding of Health and Safety Regulations in the workplace.
