We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Consultant Diagnostic Radiologist with a subspecialty interest in GI radiology to join our team at the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) for Northeast London.
Key Responsibilities- Reporting cross-sectional images performed on the new MRI and CT scanners at the CDC
- Contributing to the high-quality Consultant-led diagnostic imaging service at Barts and The Royal London Hospitals
- Supporting the need for an ILS trained radiologist at the CDC covering the contrast administration in case of a contrast reaction
- Contributing to the specialist MDTs on a rota with subspecialist colleagues
- Joining the general on-call service 1 in 20 from home with SPR cover on site
- Adhering to the appropriate clinical and quality standards
- Liaising effectively and on a timely basis with colleagues, general practitioners' community services, and all healthcare agencies
- Maintaining and promoting team and multi-disciplinary work
- Participating fully in the management of the Departments and liaising closely with the respective clinical and academic group director and Divisional Manager

Person Specification- MB BS or equivalent
- FRCR or equivalent
- CCT (or within 6 months of date of interview) or on specialist register ILS training to be provided locally
- MRCP/MRCS
- Extensive experience in Cross sectional Imaging/ trauma
- Experience of general GI/HPB imaging
- Interests in a subspecialty is desirable GI/HPB, Fellowship in GI/HPB
- Knowledge of NHS complaints system
- Record of incident and near miss reporting
- Training in root cause analysis Participation in incident investigation
- Simulated patient safety training
- Audit experience
- Experience of research, presentations to learned societies
- Higher degree
- Record of presentations at specialist societies
- First author publications in refereed journals
