Consultant Interventional Radiologist

The Royal London Hospital Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Interventional Radiologist to join their team of 63 consultant radiologists. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the service and supporting an active training program.
The service is made up of 9 substantive consultant interventional radiologists, 8 dedicated interventional radiographers, and 45 nurses who support interventional radiology lists. The service has five dedicated interventional radiology rooms and a hybrid room in the cardiothoracic surgical suite.
The successful candidate will be responsible for sharing duties related to interventional radiology across Barts Health NHS Trust.
Main Duties of the JobThe Trust is a recognised national and regional referral center for hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, upper GI and colorectal cancer, urology, renal medicine, oncology, and cardiothoracic surgery.
The helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) is part of the busy major trauma center based at the Royal London Hospital, often requiring interventional services.
The successful applicant would be encouraged to develop a subspecialty interest within interventional radiology, as well as help to provide a core service.
