The school is in search of a skilled Learning Support Assistant who possesses a positive mindset and a sincere passion for aiding students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on an individual basis.

Equipped with excellent facilities to cater to SEND students, the school is pleased to provide SEN training for new teaching assistants joining their team.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in supporting students with Autism in an educational environment.
  • A natural ability to engage effectively with children.

About the Institution:

  • Two-form entry primary school.
  • Recognized as a "good" establishment in the latest Ofsted evaluation.
  • Commended for the high standard of education provided.
  • Emphasizes mental health and well-being for the entire school community.
  • Offers comprehensive training for Learning Support Assistants.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to a Year 2 student with moderate Autism.
  • Conduct intervention sessions for your designated pupil and other classmates.
  • Adhere to the student’s Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4 PM.

Requirements:

  • Some experience in supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism.
  • Desirable experience as a one-on-one Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant.
  • Availability for a long-term commitment from Monday to Friday.
  • Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and professional reference checks.
  • Legal right to work in the UK is essential.
