Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Education Support Professional to join our team at Step Teachers. As a Learning Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of students in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to deliver engaging lessons and activities that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, fostering their academic and personal growth through targeted interventions and guidance.
  • Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social-emotional learning and well-being.
  • Contribute to the assessment and evaluation of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and informing instruction.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience as an Education Support Professional in a UK-based educational setting is essential.
  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to supporting the learning journey of students.
  • SEN qualification and experience would be desirable.
  • Experience working with students in Year 2/3 is highly valued.
