About the Role

This role will lead and manage organization-wide data governance activities, focusing on improving the quality and management of key information assets to enhance the overall data maturity of the business. You will drive adherence to our enterprise data governance framework for policies, standards, and practices, ensuring consistency and compliance across all operations.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce the data governance framework encompassing ownership, onboarding processes, standards, rules, and best practices.
  • Lead data governance committees to ensure ICIS decision-making regarding data constantly evolves to meet the changing needs of the business.
  • Collaborate with technology and architecture teams to manage changes within the data catalogue and Data Quality (DQ) hub estate.
  • Define and implement metrics to measure data governance and quality, providing actionable insights that drive proactive improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize the governance framework to train and educate data stewards and owners on their responsibilities for data governance and quality management practices.
  • Conduct workshops and meetings across business areas to onboard new stakeholders, enhance existing processes, and raise the overall profile of data governance.
  • Contribute to managing the DQ roadmap and promote the DQ Hub as a valuable service within the organization.
  • Proactively analyze and profile current data, identify and track data quality issues, and propose potential areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills when interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Possess experience delivering large-scale projects, effectively managing timelines, risks, and resources.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of data governance management from both business and technical perspectives.
  • Be able to motivate and hold teams accountable for adhering to established rules, frameworks, or delivery targets.
  • Experience in partnering with and influencing diverse teams across multiple locations.
  • Familiarity with SQL, dashboarding, or a technical background would be beneficial.
