Job Title: Data Governance Lead

  • Collaborate with the Head of Data Architecture to maintain and enhance the Digital & Data strategy and roadmap, ensuring clear communication of changes to stakeholders.
  • Develop and oversee an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap, setting strategic priorities for information-based capabilities.
  • Manage change initiatives and supervise departmental data stewards effectively.
  • Work in tandem with the DPO to establish an enterprise-wide data governance framework, emphasizing data quality enhancement and sensitive data protection.
  • Define roles and responsibilities concerning data governance to ensure accountability for the company's key information assets.
  • Act as a bridge between Business functions, technology, and data-related requirements, ensuring clarity in defining and understanding data protection needs.
  • Create and maintain an inventory of enterprise data flows, critical data elements, and data dictionaries for informed decision-making.
  • Drive the development and application of data quality standards, data consistency norms, and data protection criteria enterprise-wide.
  • Define performance indicators and quality metrics to ensure compliance with data policies, standards, and adoption requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to achieve set objectives, resolving escalated issues related to data governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data governance initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to data stewards and other stakeholders on data governance best practices.
  • Monitor and report on data governance metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Identify and mitigate data governance risks and issues.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience working in the data governance domain.
  • Knowledge of data management principles, data flow processes, and practices.
  • Familiarity with data governance practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in data management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
