About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Housing Support Specialist to join our team at Service Care Recruit. As a Housing Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering effective support plans and maintaining properties to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to meet the unique needs of service users.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure properties are adequately equipped, maintained, and furnished.
  • Engage with referral agencies to generate referrals for the service and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with service users to identify and achieve desired outcomes, empowering them to take control of their lives.
  • Manage rent collection and minimize rent arrears in line with targets, ensuring the financial sustainability of the service.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in a housing support role, with a strong understanding of the needs of vulnerable individuals.
  • A valid driver's license, own vehicle, and business insurance, with a strong ability to work independently and engage in lone working situations.
  • Enhanced DBS certification for working with adults, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
About the Contract

This is a temporary to permanent contract, with a 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM / 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (1 Saturday a month). The pay rate is £16.50 to £17.00 LTD / £14.07 to £14.49 PAYE (inc. holiday).
