As a vital member of our team, you will contribute to the delivery of our supported housing services aimed at assisting young individuals facing homelessness or at risk of losing their homes. Your role will focus on providing essential support to these young people, helping them achieve stability and independence in their living situations.
Your commitment will ensure that our clients receive high-quality assistance, utilizing a strengths-based methodology that aligns with their personal goals and aspirations. You will collaborate closely with our clients to foster a safe and supportive environment, empowering them to explore opportunities that enhance their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement outcome-focused support plans tailored to the individual needs of our clients.
- Assist clients in managing risks and taking positive steps to improve their well-being, in partnership with other support organizations.
- Participate in the referral process, conduct risk assessments, and uphold safety standards for clients, colleagues, and facilities by adhering to best practices and safeguarding regulations.
- Engage actively with clients and community stakeholders to ensure the service operates effectively and meets the highest standards.
- Support clients in connecting with local resources, fostering new relationships, and exploring opportunities for volunteering, training, and employment.
- Advocate for clients by understanding their experiences and recognizing their expertise in their own lives.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrated advocacy for clients, with a strong understanding of their unique experiences.
- Relevant experience in a similar role or field.
- Ability to navigate challenging and complex situations with sensitivity.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations.
