About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Professional to join our team at Orwell Housing Association. As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in delivering our young people's supported housing service in Ipswich.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Support Plans: Work closely with our customers to create personalized support plans that meet their unique needs and goals.
  • Provide Emotional Support: Offer a listening ear and provide emotional support to our customers, helping them to build confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work alongside other support agencies, community groups, and local organizations to ensure a holistic approach to supporting our customers.
  • Manage Risk and Safety: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the safety and well-being of our customers, colleagues, and buildings.
  • Link Customers to Community Resources: Help our customers access local community resources, including volunteering opportunities, training, and employment services.
  • Advocate for Customers: Act as a strong advocate for our customers, amplifying their voices and promoting their rights.
Requirements
  • Relevant Experience: Possess relevant experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly young people.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Possess high emotional intelligence, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Team Player: Be a team player, with a willingness to collaborate and contribute to a supportive and inclusive work environment.
