About the Role:

MLK Education Search is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SENCO to join their team in a brand new SEMH provision. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the inclusion and support team, ensuring that students with SEMH and associated needs (ASD and ADHD) receive the best possible education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the inclusion and support team to provide a person-centred approach to education
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH and associated needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure that students receive the best possible support
  • Manage and coordinate the provision of resources and services to support students
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and carers to ensure that students receive the best possible support

Requirements:

  • Qualified and/or experienced SENCO or SEN/Inclusion leader within a similar environment
  • Qualified teacher with QTS in the UK
  • Confident in motivating staff and pupils using a person-centred approach
  • Passionate about working with pupils with SEMH and additional needs like trauma, attachment, and challenging behaviours
  • Knowledgeable of Independent School Standards
