About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Crisis Support Worker to join our team at Bradford Council. As a Crisis Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering one-to-one crisis support to clients face-to-face or over the telephone.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-to-one support sessions to individuals in mental health crisis, providing a safe and supportive environment to help them work through their feelings and access the support they need.
  • Manage referrals, book appointments, and conduct follow-up calls after crisis sessions, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Make onward referrals and signpost clients to relevant services, promoting a holistic approach to their care.
  • Participate in shift handovers and team meetings, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Offer outreach sessions within the community, engaging with clients in their preferred settings and promoting accessibility.
  • Liaise with professionals and organizations across the district, building strong relationships and ensuring effective communication.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of client notes and information, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.
  • Work in line with relevant safeguarding policies and procedures, prioritizing client safety and well-being.
