Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Matron to join our team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Matron, you will play a key role in leading our specialist palliative care service and driving a culture of quality care to improve outcomes and experience for patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the specialist palliative care service across the organisation, including Tees, H&R and Acute services.
  • Support the community services across Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, including community hospitals, district nursing, virtual ward, urgent community response service and specialist services.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team management team to achieve safe staffing levels, deliver key quality, performance and financial plans, and achieve service improvements.
  • Participate in supporting the wider operational and strategic management of the Trust.
Requirements
  • First degree or diploma in a relevant subject.
  • First level registered nurse/midwife.
  • Masters level Degree or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Evidence and experience of positive leadership skills and the ability to transform and lead a team to work effectively together.
  • Knowledge and a proven track record of recent operational and clinical nursing/midwifery management and the ability to be intellectually flexible and to look beyond existing structures and ways of working.
