About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced transport planner at Senior to Principal Consultant level to join our Influencing Behaviour Team in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, people-orientated individual with specialist engagement, research, report writing and analytical skills.

The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of behaviour change theory and an appreciation of the factors influencing mode choice. They will also have demonstrable experience of managing projects for transport authorities or private sector clients in the UK, as well as a deep understanding of transport policy and current issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing travel plans for a range of organisations
  • Managing sizeable projects to scope and budget
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, helping to secure new work
  • Inspiring and developing less-experienced members of staff by freely sharing knowledge
  • Contributing to other projects across the advisory group as required

Requirements

  • A sound understanding of behaviour change theory and an appreciation of the factors influencing mode choice
  • Demonstrable experience of managing projects for transport authorities or private sector clients in the UK
  • A deep understanding of transport policy and current issues
  • A growing network of industry contacts and positive client referrals
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Excellent report-writing skills
