Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Nurse to lead our team at the British Veterinary Association. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a dedicated team of veterinary nurses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a team of veterinary nurses to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
  • Deliver comprehensive patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and providing emotional support to patients and their owners.
  • Assist with administrative duties, such as maintaining patient records and coordinating with other departments.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting open communication and a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with pet owners, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest veterinary best practices and technological advancements, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and team performance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a veterinary nurse.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent patient care skills, with a focus on providing compassionate and empathetic care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
