Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Children's Complex Care Nurse to join our team at Thornbury Community Services. As a Children's Complex Care Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to young people with complex needs, enabling them to achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care and support to children with complex needs, including those with cerebral palsy, dystonic motor disorder, and epilepsy.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews to ensure the child's needs are being met and make adjustments to care plans as necessary.
  • Provide education and training to families and caregivers on the child's condition and care requirements.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in the last 2 years in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of children's complex care and ability to work with children with a range of needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and nights.

  • Competitive rates of pay, including £34.88 per hour for nights and £39.64 per hour for weekends.
  • Travel and mileage expenses in some instances.
