Sheffield City Council is seeking motivated and experienced professionals to join our Asset Management and Programme Works team. We have multiple openings for individuals with a strong track record in construction project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of surveyors and coordinate investment services.
  • Ensure effective financial and project management of investment initiatives.
  • Facilitate communication among all stakeholders involved in delivering a customer-centric investment service.

Role Specifics:

We are looking for two leaders to manage specific areas of programme delivery on-site. While the nature of the programmes may vary, our commitment to effective management and positive outcomes for our tenants remains constant. These positions are crucial for the successful execution of housing investment projects, ensuring that programmes are delivered within budget and on schedule while upholding quality standards and minimizing disruption.

Additionally, we seek an individual to oversee investment planning, leading a team of surveyors to gather accurate and high-quality data regarding the condition of our housing stock. A strong focus on performance and target achievement is essential. This role is vital for planning future investment programmes, and you will be responsible for maintaining performance metrics and managing the volume and quality of the stock condition surveying programme.

Qualifications:

Attention to detail is paramount, along with the ability to generate reports, commission services, and effectively manage external contractors. Candidates should possess a relevant building maintenance or construction qualification, such as an HNC, along with a minimum of two years of proven experience. A comprehensive understanding of building surveying and maintenance, particularly in social housing at a supervisory level, is required. Knowledge of Construction Contracts, Building Regulations, British Standards, CDM, and Domestic Energy Assessments is also essential.

Experience in collaborating with partners, networks, and stakeholders to uphold high professional standards and ensure compliance with relevant procedures and statutory requirements is highly desirable.
