We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at MCG Construction. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Management: Manage and coordinate the activities of sub-contractors, ensuring that they work safely and efficiently.
- Health and Safety: Implement and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Environmental Management: Ensure that all environmental and waste management requirements are met, and that the site is left in a clean and tidy condition.
- Quality Management: Ensure that all quality management arrangements are in place, and that the site is maintained to the highest quality standards.
- Communication: Chair and minute sub-contractor meetings, and maintain accurate site records and progress reports.
- Programme Management: Monitor and understand the project programme, and work with the Project Manager to agree recovery programmes where necessary.
- Labour Management: Manage direct site labour, and maintain accurate records.
- Design Review: Review design drawings for buildability and co-ordination, and raise RFI's where necessary.
Requirements:
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience of leading a team.
- Project Delivery: A track record of successful delivery of projects circa £250k in value.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience working on similar banking/retail projects would be essential.
- Health and Safety: Well-developed knowledge of health and safety, company procedures, legislation and practice.
- Site Management Skills: Excellent site management skills, including the ability to read and accurately interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Qualifications: CSCS Card, SMSTS, First Aid, Duty to Manage Asbestos, Scaffold management and inspection (advantageous), Temporary works management (advantageous).
