Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Project Manager to join our Head Office in Sheffield. As a leading Principal Contractor, we specialize in the design, supply, installation, refurbishment, and maintenance of curtain walling & cladding projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take overall responsibility for the successful execution of the project
  • Manage site financial budgets, ensuring commercial astuteness
  • Have a solid understanding of Contract practice (JCT, NEC etc.) and how it should be monitored and administered
  • Ability to answer technical questions for multiple façade types and strategically find, develop & implement solutions
  • Ensure the Project team fully understands design and specification requirements, with full compliance maintained from site commencement through to handover
  • Continually manage the construction programme, work schedules, and report site progress to the Board of Directors at regular intervals
  • Implement and maintain QA processes for the duration of the works on site
  • Liaise directly with the design team to discuss potential issues, and with procurement teams to ensure orders are placed and delivered to site in accordance with the project programme
  • Identify and notify Variations, and assist in pricing where necessary
  • Assist in the preparation of RAMS, temporary works packages, and site reports
  • Daily work plan briefings
  • Attend and chair regular meetings on and off site, often face to face with the Client
  • Maintain high levels of health & safety throughout the project
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years experience working as a Site/Project Manager
  • Extensive experience working on major projects (value ranging from £10 million to £25 million plus) with a proven continual history of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge and understanding of a range of differing facade types
  • Ability to plan your own schedules and liaise directly with the end client and their teams
  • Proficient in operating AutoCAD and Revit software
  • Previous experience working alongside or within a design office, with a full understanding of the fabrication processes
  • Detailed understanding of fire engineering
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Hold SMSTS card
Preferred Qualifications
  • A relevant qualification in Project Management (Degree, Masters, CIOB, HND or equivalent) would be preferred, but not essential
