About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Dovetail and Slate as an Absence Cover Safeguarding Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with college safeguarding concerns and ensuring all students have access to support where required.
  • Liaising with law enforcement agencies and social services to ensure the well-being of our students.
  • Managing safeguarding referrals and ensuring accurate records are maintained, monitored, and reviewed.
  • Attending meetings for cared-for children and providing support as needed.

Requirements:

  • An enhanced DBS check within one year, and checked against the child's barred list.
  • Experience working with young adults and a Level 3 Safeguarding Qualification.
  • Availability to work on-site, full-time, with a commitment to providing exceptional support to our students.
  • Experience working in the Further Education sector is an advantage.
