About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Transactional Conflicts team as the Head of Transactional Conflicts. This is a critical role that requires a deep understanding of regulatory ecosystems, commercial banking, and investment banking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a Specialist Team: Set strategy, objectives, priorities, and plans in line with business needs and regulatory expectations.
  • Act as a Point of Contact: Advise business stakeholders on appropriate policies and procedures to identify and manage conflicts.
  • Assist in Framework Upgrades: Monitor and control the flow of confidential and inside information between private and public side businesses.
  • Operational Management: Manage control room activity, including processes and controls, effectively deploying resources across workstreams.
  • Service Management: Monitor and manage services within agreed service levels with forward planning to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  • Control Environment Management: Ensure all controls are completed with risk-based assurance and testing.
Requirements
  • Technical Knowledge: Conflicts of interest and market conduct regulation from a control room or compliance background.
  • Regulatory Understanding: Anti-bribery and corruption legislation and its interaction with banking activities.
  • Regulatory Oversight: Knowledge of regulatory oversight and enforcement frameworks and expectations with regards to systems and controls.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex concepts, risks, and issues in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences.
