Business Development Manager for M&E Channel

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Utility People. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering on target multi-utilities sales in the M&E channel. This includes selling electrical, gas, and water connections, as well as up-selling and cross-selling other group products such as EV charging, metering, and energy management services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales, margin, and KPI targets.
  • Develop and manage a self-discovered opportunity pipeline, closing warm leads, and ensuring timely submission of proposals and tender packs.
  • Collaborate with the estimating and technical solutions team to value-engineer proposals and ensure timely submission.
  • Ensure all proposals are followed through to conversion with detailed feedback.
  • Provide detailed win and loss analysis.
  • Lead on M&E tendering activities and customer negotiation.
  • Maintain lasting relationships with M&E customers, understanding their drivers, and incorporating them into proposals.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with M&E consultants, existing M&E relationships, and a good technical understanding of electric and multi-utility connection works for residential and commercial developments.
