M&E Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Utility People. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering multi-utilities sales in the M&E channel, working closely with M&E consultants and existing relationships to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales, margin, and KPI targets
  • Develop and manage a self-discovered opportunity pipeline, closing warm leads and ensuring timely proposal submission
  • Collaborate with the estimating and technical solutions team to value engineer proposals and ensure timely submission
  • Provide detailed win and loss analysis, and lead on M&E tendering activities and customer negotiation
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with M&E customers, understanding their drivers and incorporating them into proposed solutions
Requirements:
  • 3+ years' experience in Business Development or Sales positions, with a proven background in ICP/UIP/IDNO/IGT/utilities infrastructure
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Sales and Marketing techniques, including sales and tender management, customer negotiation, and commercial risk mitigations
  • Existing relationships with M&E Consultants, experience within a Project Management-focused environment, and experience of delivering site works, civils in DNO, IDNO, Commercial & Industrial
