About Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton

We are excited to announce the opening of our new state-of-the-art PICU & Acute hospital for men, located in the West Midlands. This innovative service will feature two wards: a 12-bed PICU ward and a 17-bed Acute ward, staffed by a dedicated multi-disciplinary team (MDT). Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton will provide rapid access to mental health services for adults requiring intensive care environments.

Your Role as a Registered Mental Health Nurse

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse at Cygnet Hospital Wolverhampton, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough nursing assessments and documenting observations in detailed written reports.
  • Collaborating with the management team to develop and improve service quality through audits and initiatives.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development (CPD) by attending training programs and expanding your knowledge base.
  • Working collaboratively with patients, relatives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure individual care plans are comprehensive and maintained effectively.
  • Administering medication safely and accurately according to local and national guidelines.
  • Providing guidance and support to junior members of the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • Proven ability to maintain accurate documentation, conduct audits, and demonstrate integrity in your role.
  • A strong understanding of current nursing practices and best standards.
  • Commitment to patient recovery by effectively monitoring, managing, and reducing risks.
