About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Furniture Installation Specialist to join our team at Johnsons 1871. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for the installation of new furniture in a variety of settings, including corporate offices, hotels, and warehouses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation of Furniture: Safely move and install office furniture and other items in new premises or via storage.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively in small to large teams to achieve installation goals.
  • Driving: Drive vehicles as entitlements allow, ensuring safe transportation of goods.
  • Technical Skills: Conduct technical aspects of decommissioning/commissioning of furniture and conduct installations.
  • Quality and Standards: Maintain and comply with all company and legislation requirements, educating and developing other team members in furniture installation best practices.
  • Company Values: Promote company core standards and values, assisting management of external contractors during installation.
  • Property Protection: Ensure the furnishing of extensive property protection to ensure delivery of service levels.
  • Office Removals: Assist with office removals or relocations, taking goods into or out of storage.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Packing and Loading: Safely package items before removal or storage, wrapping and protecting furniture when required.
  • Disassembly and Packing: Take apart larger items of furniture for packing and removal.
  • Loading and Securing: Pack furniture, load them into your vehicle, and secure them safely.
  • Pre-Drive Checks: Check that all goods are secure before driving off.
  • Installation and Unloading: Drive to the new location, unload the items, and install to scope.
