Role Overview

Are you enthusiastic about fundraising and contributing to a vibrant programme of artistic events, educational activities, and community engagement?


We are looking for a Fundraising Support Coordinator to become part of the Barbican's Development team, which is dedicated to generating income through various channels, including donations, grants, patronage, sponsorship, and corporate memberships.


This position presents an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to enhance their fundraising expertise while playing a role in the operations of a dynamic multi-arts venue during a transformative period for the organisation.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, enabling them to navigate multiple systems and effectively prioritise and manage various projects concurrently.

Key Responsibilities

The Fundraising Support Coordinator will assist in achieving our fundraising objectives in the following critical areas:

  • Supporter CRM database management (Spektrix)
  • Gift administration
  • Audience giving initiatives
  • Office administration
  • Reporting and insights
  • Data governance and compliance


This operational support is essential for the success of the Development Department and plays a significant role in fostering the growth and achievements of an ambitious fundraising team.

This role is crucial in facilitating efficient administration for the Development team, ensuring high standards of donor relations and event support.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Development team, providing administrative assistance related to donors and events for fundraising initiatives across the department.
