About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Economic Growth Champion - Digital Infrastructure, Creative and Media. This is an exciting opportunity to drive the delivery of our strategic growth plans for the Digital Infrastructure, Creative and Media sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a strategic view of Digital growth potential across the Combined Authority, supporting the implementation and delivery of our Digital Strategy for the Region.
  • Identify and ensure funding opportunities to support the delivery of Digital Growth in the CPCA region.
  • Develop partnerships with key stakeholders and delivery organisations to support the delivery and implementation of our Digital Sector Strategic Action Plan.
  • Develop strategic relationships with key central Government Departments to further our position as a leader in Digital and attract relevant funding to enable delivery of interventions or programmes to support growth in the Digital sector.
  • Work with our Skills Team to help them define priority skills/workforce sector needs and support the development of a Combined Authority Internationalisation plan across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
  • Support the development of a Combined Authority Innovation plan across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and lead on the review of our current Digital Strategy and associated Action Plan to ensure it is fit for purpose.
  • Provide a strategic policy view of the potential for growth of the Digital Sector within the Combined Authority area, identifying areas for growth and funding.
  • Analyse the current and future needs and issues of the sector to help prioritise key projects and delivery of support programmes and interventions across the CPCA.
  • Work with the Mayor's Office and key central Government Departments to create opportunities for the Combined Authority to influence and bid for national funding opportunities.
  • Develop a key network/partnership across the Combined Authority area and wider regional partners of Digital organisations and businesses, supporting the development of business cases and joint working possibilities.
