Location: Corby, Northamptonshire

Teaching Personnel is collaborating with one of our partner secondary institutions seeking to appoint a Lead Science Technician for the upcoming academic year.

Role Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess a meticulous nature and a keen eye for detail.

As a proactive individual, you will be organized and provide essential support to the Science Faculty in all practical science operations.

Your duties will include managing the preparation room efficiently, ensuring that all chemicals are handled and stored according to safety guidelines.

This role also involves maintaining an accurate inventory of supplies, as well as timely ordering of necessary materials and equipment.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment meets safety standards and addressing any issues that arise.

Health and safety within the preparation area and for the resources prepared will be under your supervision.

It is crucial that experiments are conducted safely, adhering to all relevant legislation.

Collaboration with the Science Faculty to create innovative and engaging science activities will be a key aspect of your role.

All quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of a permanent role in the future.
