Overview

Join our dedicated team at Richmond and Wandsworth Councils, where you will play a crucial role in the smooth running of our warehouse operations. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to oversee material distribution, maintain optimal inventory levels, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of materials. Your contributions will be essential in keeping our warehouse organized and secure, and your effective planning skills will enhance overall productivity. This is an excellent opportunity to become a vital part of our operational success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Time Management - Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and complete work efficiently to maximize productivity and performance.

2. Inventory Maintenance - Ensure stock levels are monitored and maintained, conducting regular stock checks and keeping the warehouse and surrounding areas clean and orderly.

3. Supplier Communication - Engage with suppliers to place orders for materials and assist with procurement processes, including the creation of purchase orders.

4. Qualifications - Hold or be willing to obtain a forklift truck and JCB loader license.

5. Experience - Have prior experience operating mechanical plant machinery, including forklift trucks and mechanical shovels.

6. Deadline Management - Effectively coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, often under conflicting deadlines.

7. Flexibility - Exhibit strong teamwork skills and demonstrate the ability to adapt to varying work hours as needed.
