Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer providing innovative food services to independent schools and colleges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in the kitchen operation to maintain the company's reputation for food quality.
  • Plan, prepare, and cook menu items as directed by the Sous / Head Chef.
  • Develop and plan menus, including future food trends, and contribute to the development of new styles of service and concepts.
  • Assist with stock taking and ensure the smooth and efficient running of your section.
Client Service
  • Provide prompt and efficient service to customers, exceeding their expectations consistently.
  • Be customer-focused, approachable, and quick to respond to customer needs.
Teamwork and Development
  • Work collaboratively with the team, assisting other members when necessary.
  • Treat colleagues with respect and professionalism.
  • Develop and instruct Commis Chefs in food preparation and cooking skills as directed by the Sous / Head Chef.
Financial Management
  • Compile food orders for sections under your supervision, ensuring food standards and cost are agreed with the Head Chef.
  • Understand food costing, sales mix, and menu planning.
Health, Safety, and Environment
  • Adhere to the company's Hygiene, Health, and Safety policies.
  • Rigorously follow the company cleaning schedules.
  • Maintain food storage areas in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Contribute to your own development with the guidance of the Sous / Head Chef and attend training courses as identified.
  • Embody company values in all aspects of your role.
  • Act as a positive ambassador for the business.
  • Attend to any reasonable request made by the client or Holroyd Howe Management.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's policy on safer recruitment and safeguarding children and young adults at all times.
