We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Home Therapies team as a Home Haemodialysis Assistant Practitioner. This is a rare opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing haemodialysis in their own homes.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting patients with haemodialysis, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide innovative and patient-centered care. This will involve training patients to perform their own treatments, conducting follow-up visits, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of renal replacement therapy, particularly haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements- Minimum one year experience in renal with haemodialysis skills
- Knowledge and understanding of all forms of renal replacement therapy, particularly haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis
- Ability to contribute to the development of junior staff
- Effective verbal and written skills
- Able to assist the registered nurse in health promotion
- Full, clean UK driving license essential
