Resource Coordinator

Workshop Recruitment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Resource Controller to join our team. As a Resource Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient allocation of resources to meet customer appointment times.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with other Resource Controllers to ensure effective resourcing of appointments between teams.
- Schedule repair appointments based on operative skills, availability, and locality to minimize travel time and idle time.
- Plan ahead for future appointments, identifying potential issues and raising concerns with the Lead Resource Controller.
- Monitor job management system screens to ensure timely action is taken on jobs that require attention.
- Oversee operative screens to ensure efficient arrival at next jobs.
- Understand the end-to-end process of delivering perfect repairs for customers and your key responsibilities in achieving this.
- Escalate issues or queries to line managers or supervisors for resolution.
- Previous experience in operational or logistical resourcing roles is ideal.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and evolving environment, remaining calm and professional under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with the workforce and remain professional in contentious situations.
- Ability to prioritize and schedule jobs to meet appointments, planning into the future.
- Proficiency in MS Office and job management systems.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance trades and tasks/activities.
- Understanding of the Portsmouth City area.
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (office hours).
- 23 days holiday.
