Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible individual to join our team as a Community Health Nurse. As a key member of our 0-5 team, you will provide clinical support to our Health Visiting Service, working with families and children in various community settings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical interventions as part of the Healthy Child Programme, as delegated by the Health Visitor.
  • Advise parents on positive parenting skills, including understanding and managing child behavior, introduction to solids and nutrition, play and stimulation, speech and language development, sleep management, and toilet training.
  • Support families in understanding key developmental milestones, including gross and fine motor skills and communication.
  • Work with specific children and families in the home, clinic setting, or school/nursery, according to their individual care plan as agreed with the Health Visitor.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate health promotion activities, taking responsibility for certain topics once training received and competency assessment signed off within an agreed timeframe.
Requirements
  • BTEC Diploma in Child Care or NVQ in Child Care level 3 or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with children and families in a formal health, educational, or social care setting.
  • Evidence of ongoing training in Early Years.
  • Experience of working as a team member and on own.
